Aiden Quinn stars in NBC religious drama

LOS ANGELES, July 15 (UPI) -- Hollywood's Aidan Quinn leaps to the small screen for a NBC midseason drama called "The Book of Daniel," it was reported Friday.

Quinn will take on the role of Daniel Webster, a drug-addicted Episcopalian priest who talks to Jesus, played by Garret Dillahunt, Variety reported.

Ellen Burstyn will play Bishop Beatrice Congreve, Susanna Thompson is Webster's wife and their children will be portrayed by Alison Pill, Ivan Shaw and Christian Campbell.

Jack Kenny of "Titus" wrote the pilot script and will executive produce with Flody Suarez of "8 Simple Rules."
