LOS ANGELES, July 14 (UPI) -- Three of the four "Desperate Housewives" were nominated Thursday as best actress in a comedy for the 57th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards.
Marcia Cross, Teri Hatcher and Felicity Huffman will compete for the honor Sept. 18 at the Los Angeles Shrine Auditorium, but castmate Eva Longoria was snubbed by the nominating committee.
Also nominated for best comedic actress are Patricia Heaton of "Everybody Loves Raymond" and Jane Kaczmarek of "Malcolm in the Middle."
Receiving nods in the Lead Comedy Series Actor category are many familiar faces: "Arrested Development's" Jason Bateman, Zach Braff of "Scrubs," Eric McCormack of "Will & Grace," Ray Romano of "Everybody Loves Raymond" and "Monk's" Tony Shaloub.
The ceremony will be broadcast live on CBS.
