LONDON, July 14 (UPI) -- British singer Marianne Faithfull says she was shocked to read in a U.S. gossip column that she had suffered a heart attack.
"These horrible rumors are completely untrue," Faithfull, 58, told the World Entertainment News Network. "I haven't had a heart attack, not even a slight one."

The New York Post's PageSix.com earlier reported the 58-year-old rock star pulled out of the movie "The Picture of Dorian Gray" after she was rushed to the hospital with severe chest pains.
Faithfull, who is currently on a concert tour of Europe, said the bogus report has upset her family, friends and fans.
"I want to reassure everyone coming to the shows that I'm OK," she said.
