NEW YORK, July 10 (UPI) -- Actress Jessica Alba says her "Fantastic Four" character is a wonderful role model for young women.
The 24-year-old "Sin City" star can now be seen playing Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman in the new comic-book adaptation, which topped the U.S. box office with an estimated $56 million when it opened this weekend.
"She's intelligent. She is maternal. She keeps these boys in line," Alba said. "She has amazing power to have a force field, which basically protects people and, to me, I think that, as a maternal person, and as someone who wants to have kids -- and does have dogs who are very naughty and run into the middle of the street -- a force field is something that I'd like to have."
The former star of TV's "Dark Angel" added: "She's still very much a woman though. She's not too manly when she's walking in and kicking ass for no reason. She takes care of business when she needs to and she does it all like a lady."
