LOS ANGELES, June 27 (UPI) -- Paramount Pictures is working on a remake of the mystical and erotic 1973 film, "Don't Look Now," based on a Daphne Du Maurier novel.
The remake will be shot in Venice, as was the original, which also featured a steamy love scene between Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie.
Veteran Mark Gordon will produce the venture, although casting information was not yet available the Hollywood Reporter said Monday.
The story involves a married couple who go to Venice to mourn the sudden death of their daughter, but encounter strange visions that suggest their daughter's presence.
Gordon also is developing two other projects at Paramount, a new version of "The Ten Commandments" and "Killing Pablo," the report said.
