NASHVILLE, June 26 (UPI) -- Billy Mata leads the field with five nominations for this year's Academy of Western Artists Will Rogers Awards, followed by Wylie Gustafson with four.
Kip Calahan and Brenn Hill each garnered three nominations.
Mata, a Western Swing and traditional country singer, was nominated for Entertainer of the Year, Western Swing Male Vocalist, Western Swing Band, Western Swing Album and Western Swing Song.
Gustafson, who heads the modern Western music group Wylie & the Wild West, is up for Entertainer of the Year, Yodeler of the Year, Duo-Group of the Year and Album of the Year.
Calahan was nominated for Western Music Female Vocalist, Western Music Song and Western Music Album. Hill is up for Western Music Male Vocalist, Western Music Album and Western Music Song.
The 10th Will Rogers Awards will be presented July 12 at Eisemann Center in Richardson, Texas.
