LOS ANGELES, June 22 (UPI) -- Oscar-winner Nicolas Cage said an imposter has been posing as him online, sending sexually lewd e-mails to his friends and business associates.
The "National Treasure" star's representatives told "Celebrity Justice," "Nicolas Cage would like to make the general public aware that somebody has illegally and fraudulently been using the following e-mail address pretending to be Nicolas Cage: [email protected]. Mr. Cage has informed the authorities, and this matter is under investigation."
"Celebrity Justice" said sources close to Cage believe the imposter may be someone with access to the e-mail addresses on Cage's computer. The program said the actor's lawyer has contacted the FBI and the Los Angeles County district attorney.
