NEW YORK, June 18 (UPI) -- Southern California lawyer Sandy Cohen, played by Peter Gallagher, on Fox's "The O.C." is TV's hunkiest dad, according to TV Guide magazine.

"Dad's aren't sexy when they try to act like their kids -- try to be too hip or clever," O.C. co-executive producer Stephanie Savage told TV Guide. "But Sandy knows who he is. He is the Steve McQueen of dads."

Also topping the list are Dr. Andy Brown, played by Treat Williams, on WB's "Everwood"; Kevin Kinkirk, played by George Stults on WB's "7th Heaven"; Nate Fisher, played by Peter Krause on HBO's "Six Feet Under," and Jonathan Kent, played by John Schneider on WB's "Smallville."

"Smallville's" down-to-earth farmer Jonathan Kent continually puts his life at risk to protect adopted son Clark's secret identity and saves him from his biological father, Jor-El, according to TV Guide.

"Jonathan makes plaid sexy," says Schneider's on-screen spouse, Annette O'Toole.
