NEW YORK, June 15 (UPI) -- Bon Jovi has chosen "Have a Nice Day" as the opening track of its yet-to-be-titled album that will be released in September.
The album, which singer and guitarist John Bon Jovi described earlier as a "loud guitar, big rock record," had been expected this spring but is now to be available in September.
The album's dozen songs reflect "personal and introspective views on issues I may have had growing up that I certainly would have never discussed publicly before," Bon Jovi told Billboard.
"I've always kept this 'chin up, glass is half-full' kind of optimism, and (now) I showed some chinks in the armor," Bon Jovi said.
He and guitarist Richie Sambora co-produced "Have a Nice Day," which is to be delivered to U.S. radio stations July 18, with John Shanks, who took Grammy producer-of-the-year honors in February.
