Forbes' 'Celebrity 100' packs surprises

June 14, 2005 at 1:13 PM   |   Comments

HOLLYWOOD, June 14 (UPI) -- Comedians Will Ferrell and Dave Chappelle are surprise additions to Forbes' 2005 "Celebrity 100 List," which includes the cast of "Desperate Housewives."

Former "Friends" star Jennifer Anniston made the list for another year, but castmates Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow have fallen off the 2005 ranking.

Cher, Tom Hanks and Jim Carrey also have dropped out of the magazine's annual "Celebrity 100 List."

"If you're off the list it doesn't mean you're not a star anymore, but it may mean that your stock has gone down a bit," Forbes writer Peter Kafka told "Entertainment Tonight."

The syndicated news show planned to feature the Forbes ranking Tuesday night.

"The Celebrity 100 list is our attempt to measure not only who's getting paid but how many people are paying attention to celebrities," Kafka said.
