LOS ANGELES, May 24 (UPI) -- The U.S. cable channel Lifetime announced Rob Lowe, Julia Ormond, Chris Carmack and Chelsea Hobbs as stars of its limited series "Beach Girls."
The series is based on Luanne Rice's novel about the lives of three teenage girls, the Hollywood Reporter said Tuesday.
The story centers around Lowe's widower character who returns to his late wife's childhood home with his teenage daughter.
The teen is able to reconnect with her mother through her two childhood best friends and has adventures of her own, including her first love, the Reporter said.
