
CULVER CITY, Calif., May 20 (UPI) -- Actor Topher Grace of "That '70s Show" is joining the cast of "Spider-Man 3," Columbia Pictures said Thursday.
Grace will join Thomas Haden Church and original "Spider-Man" cast members Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst and James Franco in the latest episode of the series projected for a May 2007 release.
"Topher Grace is an extraordinarily talented actor and will be perfect for the complexities of the role we are developing," Director Sam Raimi said in release.
Grace, who left TV with this season's finale of "That '70s Show," was expected to play a villain in "Spider-Man 3," E! Online reported.
The first two "Spider-Man" movies generated more than $1.5 billion in worldwide revenue. projected a May 2007 release for "Spider-Man 3."
