SANTA MONICA, Calif., May 15 (UPI) -- Rockers Audioslave is set to perform an outdoor concert in Los Angeles that will be broadcast on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live."
Hollywood Blvd. will be closed for the Wednesday concert that is expected to attract some 10,000 fans.
The band will play material from its new album, "Out Of Exile," which is scheduled to be released May 24.
"Audioslave is a great band that deserves a great platform and on top of that, it's always fun to close a street down," Kimmel said in a statement. A custom-built stage will be erected on Hollywood Blvd. for the performance.
Audioslave is comprised of former Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell on vocals and ex-Rage Against The Machine members Tom Morello on guitar, Tim Commerford on bassand Brad Wilk on drums.
