LOS ANGELES, May 10 (UPI) -- "Desperate Housewives" star Eva Longoria topped Maxim magazine's annual Hot 100 list, a huge leap for the actress who was relatively unknown a year ago.
"It's kind of exciting and shocking all at the same time, because I was No. 91 last year," the Mexican-American beauty told USA Today.
Last year's ranking came before the former soap actress became the sexy, confident Gabrielle on ABC's primetime hit.
"She's not a diva in any way," said Jesse Metcalfe, who shares a bed with Longoria on the nighttime soap. "Normally, when they're that hot, they're not that cool."
Though thrilled to be No. 1 on the Maxim Hot 100 list, Longoria said she would have picked No. 7 Angelina Jolie.
"Angelina is the definition of sexy," Longoria said. "Everything about her is sexy -- her empowerment, confidence, strength, beauty, character, her morals and what she stands for."
