Patrick Dempsey to attend Indy 500

INDIANAPOLIS, May 8 (UPI) -- Actor Patrick Dempsey, currently staring in ABC's "Grey's Anatomy," says he is planing to attend the Indianapolis 500.

He said he had such a good time last year, he plans to attend the auto race at the end of the month, the Indianapolis Star reported Sunday.

Dempsey, who appeared in HBO's "Iron Jawed Angels" with Hilary Swank and Angelica Huston, rode in last year's parade and attended the Snake Pit Ball and other parties.

Actor Jim Caviezel, who starred in Mel Gibson's is "The Passion of The Christ," said he must pass on the auto race this year. He was pace car driver in 2003 and showed up again in 2004.
