Pastore rejects plea deal in abuse case

NEW YORK, May 6 (UPI) -- Former "Sopranos" star Vincent Pastore has rejected a plea deal in a New York domestic abuse case that would have spared him jail time if convicted.

Pastore, accused of roughing up former fiancee Lisa Regina, was offered five days of community service in exchange for a guilty plea, the New York Post reported Friday.

But the actor who played "Big Pussy" on the popular HBO show said no.

Prosecutors have filed a misdemeanor charge against Pastore for allegedly punching Regina in the back of the head, slamming her head onto the gear shift and then throwing her out of his car.

"I didn't do anything," Pastore said outside the courtroom.
