NEW YORK, May 2 (UPI) -- Cate Blanchett and Colin Farrell are in talks to join the cast of "I'm Not There," a film biography of Bob Dylan.
Adrien Brody, Richard Gere and Julianne Moore are also in talks to join director Todd Haynes' project, Daily Variety said Monday. Described as an account of seven characters, each embodying an aspect of Dylan's life and music, it's the first Dylan movie biography project that has received folk singer's approval.
Variety said Haynes is planning to begin shooting this fall, depending on the availability of the actors. The paper said deals for the actors will not be finalized until financing is in place -- which is expected to happen during the upcoming Cannes Film Festival.
Haynes' previous credits include "Far from Heaven" and "Velvet Goldmine."
