Jerry O'Connell in 'Yours, Mine and Ours'

LOS ANGELES, April 28 (UPI) -- Jerry O'Connell has joined the cast of the upcoming remake of the 1968 comedy "Yours, Mine and Ours," The Hollywood Reporter said Thursday.

Dennis Quaid and Rene Russo are set to star in the MGM and Paramount Pictures co-production, an update of the Henry Fonda-Lucille Ball comedy about a widower with 10 children who marries a widow with eight of children. O'Connell ("Crossing Jordan," "Stand by Me") will play an employee of Russo's character.

Raja Gosnell ("Scooby-Doo," "Big Momma's House") is directing.
