George Lucas to appear on 'The O.C.'

LOS ANGELES, April 26 (UPI) -- "Star Wars" producer/director George Lucas will guest star as himself on the Fox TV series "The O.C.," the network announced Tuesday.

Lucas will appear in the series' May 12 episode, one week before the release of "Star Wars: Episode III -- Revenge of the Sith."

Fox said the episode would feature Lucas showing interest in a graphic novel written by one of the show's characters, Seth, played by Adam Brody.

"Star Wars: Episode III -- Revenge of the Sith" is scheduled to open nationwide on May 19.
