April 20, 2005 at 11:59 AM

LOS ANGELES, April 20 (UPI) -- Mariah Carey rescued the Billboard 200 from 50 Cent's control by debuting "The Emancipation of Mimi" on top of what was becoming the rapper's private domain.

Mudvayne scored a distant second Wednesday with "Lost and Found," while "The Massacre" fell to No. 3 after six week's on the top of the coveted chart.

Garbage placed fourth with "Bleed Like Me," just ahead of Faith Evans' "The First Lady" and the 18th installment of the "NOW That's What I Call Music!" in sixth place.

Beck's "Guero" claimed No. 7, and Green Day's "American Idiot" slipped to eighth.

Gwen Stefani's "Love, Angel, Music, Baby" was next, while the Killers' "Hot Fuss" rose to No. 10.
