NEW YORK, April 19 (UPI) -- Alanis Morissette plans her first acoustic tour through Canada and the United States to promote the re-release of her 1995 hit album "Jagged Little Pill."

The 27-date acoustic tour begins June 7 in Toronto and concludes July 17 in Costa Mesa, Calif.

The concerts coincide with the June 13 release of an acoustic 10-year anniversary version of "Jagged Little Pill," which will be sold only at Starbucks coffee shops for the first six weeks, MTV.com reported.

"I am having so much fun playing these newly interpreted songs," said Morissette, currently on tour in Europe. "I notice that different layers of emotions emerge with these songs being broken down and revisited."

The acoustic album features fresh interpretations of hits such as "Hand in My Pocket," "You Oughta Know" and "Ironic."
