LONDON, April 18 (UPI) -- The Channel 4 drama "Shameless" took Best Drama Series honors at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards at the London's Theatre Royal.

Romanian Anamaria Marinca was named Best Actress Sunday for her rule in "Sex Traffic," Channel 4's drama about the trafficking of young women into sexual slavery, the Independent reported Monday.

"Little Britain" took the Best Comedy Series for the second time, the first being in 2003. The BBC comedy also took accolades for series creators Matt Lucas and David Walliams, who took home the award for Best Comedy Performance.

Rhys Ifans was named Best Actor for his role as Peter Cook in "Not Only But Always," about the comic's love-hate relationship with Dudley Moore.

ITV1 talk show host Paul O'Grady won the award for Best Entertainment Performance, and "I'm A Celebrity ..." won the Lew Grade award for Best Entertainment Program.

"Omagh," Channel 4's drama about an IRA bomb that killed 29 people in 1998, was declared Best Single Drama.
