PARIS, April 6 (UPI) -- British police had to escort actress and singer Grace Jones off a Eurostar train from Paris to London after she allegedly attacked a conductor.
Jones, who memorably attacked talk show host Russell Harty on live TV in 1990, apparently became enraged when she was told she could only remain in the premium section of a first class car if she paid for the privilege -- like everyone else.
Instead of paying, however, she refused to move and shortly thereafter began verbally abusing the conductor and finally attacked him, grabbing him by the arm until a male train employee could pull Jones off the female employee, the BBC said Wednesday.
British police escorted the celebrity off the train at Ashford, Kent, where an assistant picked her up in a car.
No charges were filed.
