LOS ANGELES, April 6 (UPI) -- Denzel Washington will reunite with director Spike Lee on the thriller "Inside Man," The Hollywood Reporter said Wednesday.

The paper said Clive Owen is in talks to join the project, which Brian Grazer is producing for Universal Pictures and Imagine Entertainment.

"Inside" is described as a story about a hostage standoff between a tough cop and a bank robber intent on getting away with the perfect robbery.

Washington and Lee have collaborated three times in the past -- on "Mo' Better Blues" (1990), "Malcolm X" (1992) and "He Got Game" (1998). Washington was nominated for a Best Actor Oscar for "Malcolm X."
