Mariah Carey reportedly demands red carpet

LONDON, March 21 (UPI) -- Pop diva Mariah Carey was reportedly outraged when a London hotel failed to provide a red carpet and white candles for her arrival.

The singer's aides arrived at the Baglioni hotel about 2 a.m. to make sure the hotel was prepared for her arrival, but they found only bare pavement and ordinary lighting, Sky News reported Monday.

Carey reportedly drove around the block in her limo until the hotel corrected the error, Sky News said.

"It's not unheard of for us to rush a red carpet out for a guest," the hotel's operations manager said. "We're used to dealing with high-profile guests and everyone has their own requirements."
