SANTA MONICA, Calif., March 18 (UPI) -- Janet Jackson has found herself on both sides of stalking complaints -- as a victim in a California case and the accused in an Ohio case.

The singer and sister of Michael Jackson got a restraining order in Santa Monica, Calif., against Robert Gardner, 39, ordering the New York man to stay at least 100 yards away from her, E! Online reported Friday.

Papers filed with the Angeles Superior Court say Gardner has been bombarding Jackson for nine years with faxes and letters.

Meanwhile, an Ohio judge dismissed a request from Angela Whitterson for emergency civil protection against Jackson.

Whitterson said the singer has been "actively harassing and stalking" her, as well as being a "complete nuisance." The Ohioan also says in court papers Jackson has badgered her for nearly six years by "home phone, cell phone, email, laptop computer and PC" in an effort to arrange "trysts and in-person meetings."

She accuses Jackson of hacking her personal computer, bugging her telephone, hiring a private investigator to trail her and vandalism on her 1992 Honda Civic and 1992 Honda Accord, among other "tyrannical things."
