Comedian Dave Allen dead at 68

DUBLIN, Ireland, March 11 (UPI) -- Irish comedian Dave Allen, famed for his TV routines delivered as he sat on a stool, has died in his sleep at age 68.

He reportedly had been suffering from an undisclosed illness, the BBC said.

He was most famous for his dry-humored TV shows such as "Tonight With Dave Allen" and "Dave Allen at Large."
