HOLLYWOOD, March 4 (UPI) -- Although Fox has expressed interest in doing a sequel for the Hollywood movie "Mrs. Doubtfire," actor Robin Williams says he had doubts it will happen.

"No, I don't think so," Williams told Zap2it.com. "But they're trying to write it."

In the movie, Williams played the role of a husband in a bitter divorce who poses as a female housekeeper in an effort to spend time with his children.

Actress and writer Bonnie Hunt is taking a stab at the screenplay.

"I think if she can do it right, it'll be OK," Williams said. "If they don't do it right, it's not worth doing it."

"Mrs. Doubtfire" also starred Sally Field, Pierce Brosnan and Harvey Fierstein.
