HOLLYWOOD, March 2 (UPI) -- The brother of "Crossing Jordan" star Jerry O'Connell, Charlie O'Connell, will star in ABC's next edition of "The Bachelor," TV Guide reported.

The network describes the lesser known O'Connell sibling as a "jack of all trades who enjoys a fantastic lifestyle and a love for life that is contagious." The show premiers March 28.

It's the seventh time around for the struggling "Bachelor" franchise. Monday's climax of "The Bachelorette," in which Jen Scheft rejected two marriage proposals, had an anemic 8.4 million viewers, TV Guide said.
