KIEV, Ukraine, Feb. 28 (UPI) -- Ukraine's anthem of last year's "orange revolution" has been entered in the Eurovision song contest, which will be held in Kiev this year.

The hip-hop tune "Razom nas bagato!" or "Together we are many!" by Greenjolly beat 18 other songs during a televised final that involved an interactive vote to determine the country's song competion entry, reported the BBC Monday.

The song had been an instant hit with many Ukrainians who rallied around Viktor Yushchenko during November's presidential election.

The song is a remake of the famous revolutionary song "Pueblo unido jamas sera vencido!" or "The People, United, Will Never be Defeated!" from the 1960s.
