LOS ANGELES, Feb. 24 (UPI) -- Quentin Tarantino will direct the season-finale of "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," The Hollywood Reporter said Thursday.
The paper said Tarantino -- a long-time fan of CBS' top-rated series -- has come up with a story for the episode, which is scheduled to shoot in early April and air May 19.
"CSI" creator-executive producer Anthony Zuiker had been trying to get Tarantino to direct an episode ever since the two met at an awards show during the show's first season. "CSI" executive producer Carol Mendelsohn told The Reporter they finally got their man after members of the show's crew ran into Tarantino while they were shooting on location in Las Vegas.
"He knows everything there is to know about 'CSI,' and he is into the whole mythology of 'CSI,'" she said. "Quentin came in a couple of weeks ago. We had a story meeting with the writers. He had a great idea and it was so much fun to have him in the room. ... We are positively giddy."
