Jessica Simpson gets over stomach virus

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 23 (UPI) -- Pop star Jessica Simpson is back in her Los Angeles home after being treated for a stomach virus in Chicago where she was taping an "Oprah!" episode.

"She is already feeling better," Simpson spokesman Brad Cafarelli told E! Online.

Simpson, 24, was treated for dehydration and released from an undisclosed Chicago-area hospital Monday.

Her interview with talk show host Oprah Winfrey was set to air Friday.

It was not known whether the illness would be incorporated into "Newlyweds," Simpson's MTV reality show with husband Nick Lachey.

Earlier this month, Simpson finished filming her first movie, "The Dukes of Hazzard," based on the 1970s TV show.
