NEW YORK, Feb. 17 (UPI) -- One of the stars of "Son of the Mask," opening this week, is timing the debut of his own fragrance with that of the movie.

Alan Cumming, who joins Jamie Kennedy, Traylor Howard, Bob Hoskins and Ben Stein in the PG-rated prequel to Jim Carrey's 1994 "The Mask," says his cologne is for both men and women, the New York Daily News reported Thursday.

He plans to introduce his fragrance this month.

"Originally it was for men, but women love it. So I'm saying it's 'beyond gender.'"

His fragrance's advertising campaign features postcards of Cumming in various stages of undress paying homage to old fragrance ads.

The movie, which opens Friday, features Cumming as Loki, the Norse God of Mischief, who created the mask and now will go to any length and disguise to get it back.
