LOS ANGELES, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Feature directors Andrew Davis and Simon West have signed to direct TV pilots for producer Jerry Bruckheimer, Daily Variety reported Friday.

Davis ("The Fugitive," "Collateral Damage," "Under Siege") will direct an untitled hour-long show about a teenage law prodigy, written by Jonathan Shapiro ("The Practice," "Boston Legal") for The WB.

West ("Lara Croft: Tomb Raider," "Con Air") is set to direct "American Crime" -- a CBS drama about a woman trying to balance her professional life as a prosecutor with her personal obligations as a suburban mom.

Taylor Hackford -- who is nominated for a directing Oscar for "Ray" -- signed recently to direct "E-Ring," a pilot Bruckheimer is producing for NBC.
