LOS ANGELES, Feb. 2 (UPI) -- An informal survey of an admittedly small sample of Hollywood figures suggests celebrities favor the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl.
Legendary producer Aaron Spelling ("Beverly Hills 90210") likes New England in Sunday's big game.
"The New England Patriots because they have played at the Super Bowl before and I think that the New England Patriots have better receivers," Spelling said. "New England 45-Philadelphia 25."
Grammy Awards producer Pierre Cossette lines up on the other side.
"The Philadelphia Eagles because of (quarterback) Donovan McNabb," he said. "Philadelphia 33-New England 24."
Actor Tony Curtis picks the Patriots "because they're a well-rounded team." Comedian Noram Crosby likes the Patriots, too, "because I grew up in Boston."
Psychologist Joyce Brothers favors the Patriots because she sees "emotional strength" in quarterback Tom Brady.
"He has the ability to stay 'in the pocket,' keep his head and wits about him, instinctively knows where to send the ball and has complete belief in his teammates protecting him," she said. "Patriots 24-Eagles 14."
