LONDON, Feb. 1 (UPI) -- British actor Rhys Ifans was invited to a wife-swapping session with film star Jude Law and his wife, actress Sadie Frost, the Mirror reported.

Law and Frost allegedly swapped partners with singer Pearl Lowe and Supergrass drummer Danny Goffey, and Ifans and his girlfriend Jess Morris were asked to "join in." But Ifans, who played High Grant's flatmate in "Notting Hill," was stunned by the invitation and turned it down.

"Rhys is good pals with Sadie's crowd, but he couldn't believe what was going on," a friend said. "He's now split up with Jess, but he would never jeopardize a relationship like that."

The swaps, which are said to have taken place during a 2001 vacation in Greece, went on for a second night with Law developing an eye for Lowe.

Law, 32, and Frost, 36, split in the summer of 2003 but denied the breakup was caused by other love interests.
