BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Jan. 27 (UPI) -- Actress Salma Hayek will be a presenter at the 77th Academy Awards, telecast producer Gil Cates announced Thursday.

Hayek was nominated for a Best Actress Oscar in 2002 for her performance as Mexican artist Frida Kahlo in "Frida." Her other screen credits include "After the Sunset," "Once upon a Time in Mexico" and "Dogma."

She is due to appear on U.S. screens this year in "Ask the Dust" and "Bandidas."

The Academy Awards will be presented on Feb. 27 at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, in ceremonies to be televised by ABC.
