LOS ANGELES, Jan. 27 (UPI) -- Drew Barrymore is set to star in "Lucky You," a drama-comedy about a high-stakes poker player and a Las Vegas singer, Variety said Thursday.
Eric Bana ("The Hulk") is set to play the professional gambler.
The project -- with a screenplay by Oscar-winning writer Eric Roth ("Forrest Gump") -- is being directed by Curtis Hanson, who won an Oscar with Brian Helgeland in 1997 for their screen adaptation of James Ellroy's "L.A. Confidential."
Barrymore's most recent movie hit was "50 First Dates," last year's romantic comedy with Adam Sandler. She is due in U.S. theaters this year in "Fever Pitch," a romantic comedy co-starring Jimmy Fallon.
