The Gap easily Tops Billboard chart

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 26 (UPI) -- Rapper The Game's "The Documentary" soared to No. 1 on Billboard's Top 200 chart Wednesday, selling more copies than the remaining Top 10 combined.

The Game's first major-label release sold 587,000 copies and pushed Green Day's "American Idiot" to No. 2 with album sales that fell to 85,000. Eminem's "Encore" came in at No. 3, Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz's "Crunk Juice" was No. 4 and John Legend's "Get Lifted" was No. 5.

Time Life Records' "I Can Only Imagine: Ultimate Power Anthems of the Christian Faith" jumped to No. 49 with the biggest percentage gain in the Billboard ranking. The compilation features songs by popular Christian acts such as Amy Grant and Point of Grace.

Billboard said overall U.S. album sales of 9.6 units fell 7 percent compared with the same week in 2004 and are off 16 percent from the same period last year.
