LONDON, Jan. 25 (UPI) -- Musician Pete Doherty, formerly of The Libertines, says he and British supermodel Kate Moss are an item, which he believes will stand the test of time.
The couple met last week.
Doherty told Xfm's Lauren Laverne on Britain's ITV's "Orange Playlist," that he met Moss during her 31st birthday party.
"It's been the best week in a long time because I've really found love with Kate," said Doherty. "I think it will last. She's good for me because she's got a beautiful soul and I think I can trust her.
"I think I can believe her when she says she loves me and I know I mean it when I say I love her."
The singer said he's had his arm tattooed with her initial. "I'd had a heart done a few years ago, but I added the 'K'."
The interview is scheduled to be broadcast on ITV Feb. 17.
