LOS ANGELES, Jan. 23 (UPI) -- Reba McEntire meets another country-music star on her sitcom, "Reba," next month when Dolly Parton guest-stars in an episode, Zap2it.com reports.

Parton plays a successful real-estate broker who encounters McIntyre's character as she enters the business. The role was written specifically for Parton, whose last such appearance was on an episode of CBS's short-lived "Bette" in October 2000.

"I have respected Dolly, both professionally and personally, for my entire career," McEntire said. "Having her on our show and playing opposite her will be the thrill of a lifetime."

Parton, the winner of seven Grammys, was nominated for an Oscar in 1981 for her song "Nine to Five" from the movie of the same title, in which she also starred.

She also starred in "Steel Magnolias" and "Straight Talk."
