Organizers have confirmed all 60,000 tickets have been sold for the gig to be held at the Millennium Stadium in Wales.

Grant Nicholas of Feeder, an international rock band also playing, told BBC Radio One: "We've seen everything that's been happening on TV over Christmas and it's been really horrendous and so obviously we've felt very strongly -- if we can help in any way to raise money we will."

All profits will go to the Disasters Emergency Committee's tsunami aid appeal. The concert will be broadcast live.
