NEW YORK, Jan. 18 (UPI) -- A group of Black Sabbath fans want vocalist Ozzy Osbourne fired for his lack of commitment to the British heavy metal icons.

Disgruntled fans have put a petition online asking Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward to give Ozzy the boot, Roadrunner Records' Web site, Blabbermouth.net, reported Tuesday.

One of the fans behind the anti-Ozzy movement, James Clarke, criticized Blabbermouth.net for giving too much attention to Osbourne's many side projects.

"Blabbermouth.net gives Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne a lot of publicity with regards to issues that are trivial at best," he posted. "Some feel that this is only exacerbating the problem of Ozzy's failure to commit to Black Sabbath by encouraging him to pursue other interests."

The fans' petition is at petitiononline.com/FireOzzy/petition.html, Blabbermouth said.
