NEW YORK, Jan. 17 (UPI) -- Twin actresses Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who share a New York apartment, have decided to live apart, the World Entertainment News Network said Monday.
Star magazine quoted a source as saying Mary-Kate Olsen will move out of the New York City apartment.
The source said: "Mary-Kate and Ashley want to do the independent thing and live on their own. They're twins, and I think they just want to find their own identities. They don't want to be identified as the same person."
Michael Pagnotta, a representative for the duo, declined to comment on the stars' living arrangements, but said the twins' relationship remains strong.
"They do a lot of things together and a lot of things individually," he said. "They're good friends; all this rift stuff is nonsense."
