Cindy Crawford back on Vogue cover

LONDON, Jan. 9 (UPI) -- For the first time in a decade, supermodel Cindy Crawford is back on the cover of British Vogue.

Crawford, 38, posed for the magazine modeling a see-through top, micro-mini and gold swimsuit slashed to the navel.

"It's great for us to have Cindy on the cover. She's something of a Vogue icon and it's so encouraging to see how terrific she still looks," Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman told the Daily Mail.

Crawford has not appeared on the cover of British Vogue since December 1995, shortly after she and husband Richard Gere split up.

Crawford is now happily married to businessman Rande Gerber, with whom she has two children -- Kaya, 3, and Presley, 5.

In the 10 years since her first appearance on the magazine cover, Crawford has released best-selling videos, done some acting and is currently working on a new skincare line.

She recently got into hot water with animal rights activists after modeling a mink coat, a decade after expressing her support for an anti-fur campaign.
