Police probe earlier Michael Jackson case

SANTA BARBARA, Calif., Jan. 8 (UPI) -- Santa Barbara, Calif., investigators are seeking details of old allegations against accused child molester Michael Jackson.

A private investigator told syndicated cable television series "Celebrity Justice" detectives were seeking information on a boy that Jackson met and shopped for toys with in London during his "Bad Tour" in the late 1980s.

"It's pretty stunning that, literally at the 12th hour, the police are out in full force in Southern California, trying to dig up other alleged victims," said "Celebrity Justice" Executive Producer Harvey Levin. "You would think, at this point, prosecutors are working on opening statements."

Detectives are trying to determine if Jackson may have purchased a home for the boy's family, something the family denies.

"Relatives of this boy are saying it is absolutely untrue that Michael Jackson gave this family hush money in any form," Levin stated.

Jackson's trial for allegedly sexually abusing a 13-year-old cancer victim is scheduled to begin in three weeks.
