NEW YORK, Jan. 4 (UPI) -- An Edinburgh Fringe Festival award winning one-man show, "Thom Pain (Based on Nothing)," is heading for New York for performances beginning Jan. 25.

Broadway producers Daryl Roth and Bob Boyett said Tuesday that the dramatic show written by Will Eno has been booked into the DR2 Theater on Union Square. It will star James Urbaniak, who appeared in the show in Scotland and won the best actor award for his performance as a lonely eccentric whose attempts to find love and interaction in general with other humans ends badly but humorously. Urbaniak has won two off-Broadway best actor awards for recent performances in "American Splendor" and "Henry Fool."

The New York production will be directed by Hal Brooks. Roth and Boyett have worked together before as producers of Edward Albee's play, "The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia?," on Broadway two seasons ago.
