Indian star goes Hollywood

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 2 (UPI) -- The Indian star of upcoming film "Bride and Prejudice," Aishwarya Rai, has told American press about the transition from Bollywood to Hollywood.

Aishwarya, a huge star in India, said American and Indian productions have very approaches to on-screen romance, Hellomagazine.com reported

For example, in Indian films, the stars aren't even allowed to kiss onscreen. Elaborate song and dance routines usually substitute for sex. When asked if she would do an intimate scene in an American film, Aishwarya said: "We'll cross the bridge when we reach it."

"In our society, you don't really see people around the street corner kissing or being extremely or overtly physically demonstrative," she said.
