ORLANDO, Fla., Jan. 1 (UPI) -- Boston Red Sox center fielder Johnny Damon is now a married man.

Damon and Michelle Mangan, who ran a talent agency, were married at the Ritz Carlton Grande Lakes Hotel in Orlando, Fla., the Boston Globe reported.

It was an event that included many activities this week besides the Thursday wedding and reception.

"It kind of stinks for people to come into town for just one day, so we put together a bunch of stuff," Damon told the Globe.

The events included a golf tournament, spa treatments and a private comedy show with Craig Shoemaker, Mike O'Malley and "Saturday Night Live's" Seth Meyers.

Dressed in a black tuxedo and silver tie, Damon walked down the aisle to "Brand New Man" by Brooks & Dunn.

The bride wore an ivory Vera Wang gown with chapel-length train and long veil and walked in to Lauryn Hill's "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You."
