Jet Li escapes tsunami's rage in Maldives

HONG KONG, Dec. 29 (UPI) -- Martial arts actor Jet Li saved himself and his daughter from the deadly tsunami that slammed parts of Asia and Africa including the Maldives.

Li suffered a foot injury from furniture washed away by a wall of water at a resort in the Maldives but was able to scoop up his daughter and get to higher ground, a friend told a Hong Kong newspaper.
